Annual Scientific Review
In the spirit of partnership, PPRI is able to get a behind-the-scenes look at the ground-breaking research that we make possible; and as a donor, so will you.
Each year, PPRI hosts a Scientific Review, at which PPRC’s senior researchers provide live presentations on current and past projects. The event is an opportunity to discover how recent findings are contributing to the progression of Parkinson’s research around the world, and what the research team is hoping to explore next.
Donors also have the chance to meet the presenting scientists, as well as the teams of researchers eager to share their knowledge with interested supporters. Additionally, PPRI donors receive written updates on funded projects, so you will be among the first to learn what has been discovered.
The next Scientific Review will be on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025 at 4:30pm at the university of british columbia.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Pacific Parkinson’s Research Institute (PPRI), Chair Don Anderson will share insights into the institute’s mission for more than thirty years to advance the world-renowned Parkinson’s Disease (PD) research at the Pacific Parkinson’s Research Centre (PPRC).
Dr. Silke Appel-Cresswell, Director of PPRC, and her colleagues will share insights into several of the leading PD research projects underway at UBC, each one made possible only by the support from the PPRI community.
Opportunities to speak with the PPRC researchers and PPRI Directors can be enjoyed during the intermission and after the presentations have concluded at the Reception, where refreshments will be served. The venue is fully accessible.
